Israel News Summary... things on the up !

1.  In the Israeli media, all papers note that Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit told the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram that due to the Palestinian internal fighting, the Palestinians are ruining the chance for peace with Israel.

2.  Several papers also report that the Lebanese Defence Minister Elias Murr announced yesterday that the Lebanese army confiscated weapons from Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon.

3.  Olmert's meeting with Kadima members and senior Israeli Labour party officials, where he expressed the need to expand the government's coalition.

4. Ynetnews are reporting that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said in an interview to the al-Arabiya satellite television network last week that neither Fatah nor Hamas are required to recognise the State of Israel.
